Chris Bosh and Those Other Two Heat Players Will Appear On Oprah Next Week
Last night while I was watching my beloved Kardashians pretend to hate fame on Oprah’s Next Chapter, a commercial aired about next week’s episode. Next Sunday at 8pm on OWN (a channel most of my readers probably don’t frequent!) Oprah will interview NBA Champs Chris Bosh, Lebron James and Dwyane Wade about their championship and the women in their life. I don’t know if that means their mamas or their significant others, but if Gloria James makes an appearance I hope Oprah asks her why her lips often find themselves on the faces of Bron Bron’s teammates. I hate comparisons of Bron and Durant but let’s be honest — Mama Pratt would have none of this foolishness.
Of course, I will be watching next week and fawning over every #ChrisBoshFace and thoughtful thing Bosh says. I will post any highlights afterward. Fingers crossed that they interview Chalmy too.
One last thought: I think Oprah should really consider interviewing the Oklahoma Thunder players as well. Her network is hurting for ratings and the Thunder fan base is pretty dedicated and would probably tune in. From a personality standpoint the Heat players would probably make for better TV. You’d get a lot just interviewing Russell Westbrook and his parents. Not to mention Serge Ibaka has an INCREDIBLE backstory going from the Congo to Spain to America and essentially being independent from a very young age. I know how much Oprah LOVES to profile African hardknocks.  Kevin Durant and his mom would also make for great TV as would James Harden. Can you imagine Kendrick and Vanity Perkins being interviewed? Who knows, maybe Oprah could get Big Perk to smile once or twice.
